A Kidderminster football team have been given a major lift by securing a sponsorship agreement with a West Midlands homelifts specialist.

Kingswinford-based domestics lifts manufacturer Stiltz Lifts have agreed to sponsor Cookley Sports and their kit for the 2017/18 season.

Stiltz Lifts moved its headquarters to the area last year and has installed its unique and innovative homelifts in more than 20 countries.

Cookley Sports, a FA Charter Standard club, competes in Division Two of the Kidderminster and District Football League and is currently tenth in the table after six games.

But club chairman and treasurer, Richard Penney, who is warehouse manager at Stiltz Lifts, expects the new sponsorship deal to give the team a big boost ahead of their next few games.

Richard said: “Cookley Sports is delighted to be associated with a such a hugely prosperous business as Stiltz Lifts.

"Their financial support has been a real boost and is very much appreciated.

"I believe the fact we have secured a company like Stiltz Lifts as our main sponsor will give the players a new level of confidence in our next few games and help us climb up the league table.”

Mike Lord, chairman of Stiltz Lifts, said: “We are a thriving West Midlands business and growing at a phenomenal rate every year so it’s great to be able to give something back to the community by sponsoring a local football team in the area. We will be watching Cookley Sports and their results with interest.”
