A STOURPORT hairdressers celebrated a landmark birthday in style by unveiling their expanded business.

Mayor of Stourport Councillor Cliff Brewer cut the ribbon to officially open The Cutting Rooms new look home in the town.

The business was set up in 1991, starting out as a team of three barbers but has grown and now has 10 stylists on its books.

And, to celebrate their 25th anniversary, the salon has branched out into women’s hair styling for the first time, based in the new Cutting Rooms VIP salon next door to the existing barbers.

Councillor Brewer, who opened the salon alongside Stourport Carnival Queen Faith Broome-Nelson, said: “It was a pleasure to open the new Cutting Rooms VIP salon.

“The Cutting Rooms has developed at a fast pace since opening its first barbering salon in the town and provides a unique, fast service to its customers, with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

“It is hoped that this will be an example to other entrepreneurs to come to Stourport and follow in their footsteps.”
