A BROMSGROVE pub is inviting townsfolk to two fund-raising events supporting a Droitwich man’s marathon run.

Colin Baker is running the London Marathon for the Action Medical Research charity, which carries out research into children’s illnesses and provides support for patients and their families.

Colin is looking to raise £1,800 so, as part of his efforts to raise as much money as possible, two events will be taking place next weekend.

A Poker Tournament is being held on Friday, March 16, at the Crown Inn, in Stourbridge Road, from 7pm.

It costs £15 to enter; £10 going into a pot which the overall winner and runner up takes a share of, while £5 is donated to the charity run.

The following day, March 17, from noon, the pub will also be holding a family fun day to raise money.

The event includes a darts tournament, pool competition, and a Just Dance women-only competition.

To close the day the pub will be holding an evening disco, which includes a performance from a live band.

For more details on the events call Chris, from the Crown Inn, on 07575610182.
