AN outdoor activity centre between Bromsgrove and Droitwich Spa has launched a packed spring and summer programme.

Upton Warren Outdoor Education Centre, Upton Warren, wants to give youngsters an opportunity to try something new. Organisers hope the run-up to London 2012 will inspire youngsters to take part in a wide range of activities which will be showcased by the games.

Upton Warren is running multi-activity holiday clubs for various age ranges in the coming months, as well as specific skills courses including sailing, windsurfing, paddle sports and bush-craft.

Head at the centre, Phil Ascough, said: "The focus on London 2012 is an ideal opportunity to widen participation in a host of outdoor activities as well as more traditional sports. Upton Warren's courses offer a low-cost introduction to sailing and windsurfing and our paddle sports courses provide basic skills that can be built on if participants wish to develop their interest further."

Upton Warren's fully supervised multi-activity holiday clubs offer the perfect answer for parents looking for something to keep active kids.

Mr Ascough added: "Upton Warren's popular holiday clubs will be bigger and better than ever this year and thanks to the extra bank holiday on the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, we've also programmed a range of activities for families to take part in together.”

Details of all activities and courses for young people and their families can be found in the events section at worcestershire.gov.uk/outdoors or you can contact the centre directly on 01527 861426.
