THE talent of Worcestershire artists is set to be showcased.

More than 74 artists, including painters, photographers, jewellers, potters and carpenters, have signed up for this year’s Worcestershire Arts Trail. The event coincides with the bank holiday weekend celebrations for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and runs from June 1 to 4.

It’s only the second event of its type organised in Worcestershire and aims is to give people the chance to see how a work of art is created.

Studios, workshops and even artist’s homes will be allowing free access to everyone across all four days.

Commenting on the Worcestershire Art Trail, organiser Sarah Jones said: “Few people living in the county realise what a wealth of talent is to be found right on their doorstep. People talk about shopping locally when it comes to food and drink but this ethos should extend through everything.”
