CLUB members at the Young Equestrians in Rowney Green will be cooking up a treat in aid of Help for Heroes.

Members at the newly-formed club, which has around 20 members aged 13 to 18, will be taking part in the 'Bake for Heroes' cake sale on Saturday, June 30.

Group co-ordinator Sally Thompson said: "We want to bake as many cakes as we can to raise money for the charity.

"With Saturday being our busiest day we are hoping to raise as much money as possible.

"We have about 20 members and they are all going to have a go at baking.

"Some of them have said they have never baked in their life, but I said it doesn't matter, just bring in what you can!"

Cakes will be sold all day from 9.30am at their base at the Equestrian Centre on Rowney Green Lane, near Alvechurch.
