ART students at two Bromsgrove schools have combined their artistic talents to create a sealife-themed display of ceramic tiles.

Heads of art at Bromsgrove Preparatory School and Bromsgrove Preparatory School, Sarah Cheuk and Victoria Barron, have been collaborating on the group project with 21 year eight pupils.

Students worked together to create 21 tiles for the finished piece, which featured at Bromsgrove's Art Exhibition on Friday, June 15, and will be displayed at Parkside during July.

The artwork will then go on display at the town library throughout the summer.

Miss Barron said: "Both schools working together has been beneficial for us all and pupils from both our schools, enjoyed our regular group making sessions that we began in April this year.

"Using images from the sea, we all explored colour and texture, relaying fascinating and mysterious sea creatures that we need to look after in today’s environmentally challenging throwaway plastic world.

"We learnt a lot from working with each other and our creative processes were enhanced through sharing practice.

"The ceramic results were absolutely beautiful and we could not be any more proud of all the pupils that were involved.

"We are looking forward to further projects in the future.”
