EXOTIC birds worth £350 have been stolen from a home aviary in Stoke Prior.
The burglary is thought to have taken place between 4.50pm on Saturday, March 25 and 11.30am on Sunday, March 26.
The burglar, or burglars, lifted a wrought iron gate off its hinges to access the rear garden in Foley Gardens.
They then entered the property through an insecure rear door, but did not take anything from inside the house.
The burglar then used bolt croppers from the resident's tool shed to break the padlock to an aviary, where they stole four kākārikis, three canaries, three bourkes and two Japanese quails.
The total value of the birds is thought to be around £350.
Anyone who has any information on the burglary is urged to contact West Mercia Police on 101, quoting crime number 0243s.
