TODAY is Comic Relief Red Nose Day 2017 and children across Bromsgrove will be wearing red noses and looking silly.
Comic Relief will spend the money raised from the sale of red noses on helping the needy in the UK and across Africa.
For every red nose sold 60p goes to Comic Relief, a charity which has raised over £1 billion since it started in 1985.
Youngsters at Bromsgrove Pre-Preparatory School are among those to take part in the events, helping to raise £191.73 for charity.
A spokesman said: "Children at Bromsgrove Pre-Preparatory School have had great fun joining in with a variety of 'Red Nose Day' themed activities today.
"They loved their 'red nose' hunt in Forest School, searching for red objects hidden in red shaving foam and enjoyed exploring how to retrieve red things that had been frozen in blocks of ice.
"The whole school wore red today raising £191.73 and sang the official Comic Relief song in assembly this morning."
Bromsgrove Rock Choir also took part in the event, raising just over £115 through a cake sale - part of £600 raised by all four of their regional choirs.
