BIKERS, runners and cyclists were among the 450 fundraisers to tackle Britain's Biggest Breakfast at Tardebigge Village Hall on Saturday, raising a hearty £3,500 for charity.

The annual event, hosted by Bromsgrove Farmers Club, saw visitors pile their plates with bacon, eggs and black pudding donated from local suppliers, to raise funds for Bromsgrove's Primrose Hospice and Cancer Research UK.

Bromsgrove Young Farmers ran a tombola on the day, with donations going to the club's chosen charity, the County Air Ambulance Trust.

The fundraiser brings Bromsgrove and Redditch Biggest Breakfast's 14-year total to more than £38,000.

Helen Hirons, who helped organise the event, said: "The Bromsgrove Farmers Club Big Breakfast was a great success. We had cycling clubs, a running club and a motorcycle club all enjoyed their breakfast.

"Food was donated by local suppliers, of which we are very grateful, and members of the Bromsgrove Farmers Club all cooked, served and washed up - a great effort by the club."
