POLICE are appealing for information after a £4,000 bike was stolen in Alvechurch.

The bike - a Trek Domare SL6 - was taken from a garage on George Road on January 9.

The incident was one of 10 garage break-ins which took place in a matter of hours between the evening of Monday, January 9, and the early morning of Tuesday, January 10.

The 22-gear bike is metallic black and white, with an uprated saddle stem and handle bars with carbon disc brakes, and model serial numbers WTU165QU01321 and DOM192446762.

Pc Simon Albutt from Alvechurch and Wythall SNT said: "The picture in this press release is the bike that was stolen. This is a very unique bike with very distinctive features.

"If anybody has been offered a high-end bike with these features below the market value, please contact West Mercia Police on 101 and quote 22DL/2582F/17."
