HUNDREDS of visitors flocked to meet Santa and his reindeers during a Christmas fair which raised thousands of pounds for a Bromsgrove hospice.

Charitable residents embraced the Christmas spirit at the Primrose Hospice fair on St Godwalds Road on Sunday, November 27, which raised more than £5,300.

The event included a marquee of craft stalls, children’s activities, performances from the Primrose Choir and the Arrow Valley Brass Band and special guests Santa and his reindeers.

Community Fundraiser Emma Williams said: "The Christmas Fair was an absolutely fantastic afternoon, with visitors coming along and getting into the festive spirit.

"Our very own Father Christmas and reindeers were a huge success, they were enjoyed by everyone.

"Our main aim was to open our doors up for people to come along and see for themselves what the Primrose Hospice is all about, we had queues into the car park we were that busy!

"We really are extremely happy with how the event went and we are overwhelmed with how many people came.

"We would like to thank everyone who came along to see us and to those that helped out on the day and supported us. We have had a great time."
