YOUNGSTERS are in for a treat at Avoncroft Museum this Halloween, with pumpkin carving, creepy crafts and broomstick building in store.

From Tuesday, October 25 to Sunday, October 30, children can take part in the outdoor Hidden Horrors trail around the 19-acre site, listen to creepy tales and fly around Avoncroft on their handmade broomsticks.

Normal museum admission charges apply and there is a £4 additional charge for pumpkin carving in the new Guesten Hall.

On November 5, Avoncroft will be hosting a traditional but child-friendly bonfire night, where youngsters can help create the Guy and make a lantern for the bonfire parade from 2pm.

There will also be a barbecue and the tearoom will be open for hot and cold drinks.

There will be no fireworks or loud bangs at the event to make it suitable for younger children.

Gates open for the bonfire at 4pm and tickets cost £3 per person.
