Former North Bromsgrove High School pupil Jennie Batchelor.
A FORMER pupil from North Bromsgrove High School has been appointed Professor of Eighteenth Century Studies at the University of Kent.
Bromsgrove-born Jennie Batchelor attended the school beteween 1989 and 1994, having previously been a student at Catshill Middle and Lickey End First School.
After graduating with a PhD from Queen Mary's College in London, Jenny became the first post-doctoral Fellow at Chawton House Library, an international research centre once owned by Jane Austen's brother.
She has also written four published books.
