PUPILS at St Peter's Catholic School in Bromsgrove celebrated the Queen's birthday in style earlier this month, with a fancy dress fun day.

Students came to school dressed in red, white and blue, and some of the children designed and made their own commemorative hats.

They sang the National Anthem, learnt facts about the Royal family and even made cards for the Queen which were sent to Buckingham Palace.

In the afternoon, pupils transformed the school hall into a patriotic paradise, with bunting and paper chains for their indoor royal street party.

Deputy headteacher Sarah Colclough said: "The Friends of St. Peter’s bought every child a commemorative mug to join in with celebrations. It was truly a magical day with memories made for the children to reflect upon in the years ahead."
