BEFORE the end of this month, Welsh folk star Martyn Joseph will be making his way to Bromsgrove Folk Club as part of the town’s festival programme.

Martyn is a singer and songwriter with a career spanning 30 years and 32 albums, with more than half a million in record sales. His music brushes several different genres including folk, rock, soul, folk funk and Americana.

Bob Bignell from the folk club, said: “He is a performer like no other: shades of Springsteen, John Mayer, Bruce Cockburn and Dave Matthews there may be - but he stands in his own right, built on a reputation for giving what thousands have described as the best live music experience of their lives delivering his songs of lyrical intelligence.”

Martyn Joseph will be performing at the club which meets at Catshill Social Club on Thursday, June 30 from 8pm. Tickets are £12 for non-members or £8 for members, and under 25s can enter for just £4. For more information visit bromsgrovefolkclub.co.uk or call 0121 4765938.
