A MAJOR road between Bromsgrove and Redditch has been closed by police this morning (May 24) due to overhanging power cables posing a danger to motorists.
The A448 Bromsgrove Highway has been shut between A38 (Bromsgrove) and B4096 (Redditch) due to the overhanging cables at the Foxlydiate junction and Webheath junction.
Hewell Lane, in Tardebigge, is also closed while National Grid workers are on the scene and an initial assessment is currently underway.
Redditch’s Safer Neighbourhood Team has called the traffic “horrendous” and said the work could take all day.
