A FUNERAL director, which has premises in Rubery and Northfield, has once again supported Macmillan by joining in with ‘The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ on Saturday, September 26.

The staff and friends of Mortons Funeral Directors donated delicious home baked cakes and biscuits for visitors to enjoy along with tea, coffee and squash. The children had great fun completing their own colouring in competition and the grown-ups took their chances lucky dipping in the tombola whilst Mortons drivers put their backs into cleaning visitors' car for a modest donation.

The grand raffle was also well supported, with the first prize of a traditional afternoon tea, arriving in style in a chauffeur driven limousine.

Sarah Case, assistant managing director, said: “We all take pleasure in fund raising at Mortons and Macmillan Cancer Support in particular is very close to our hearts as our much loved colleague, Alison, has battled through her own fight with cancer this year. We are delighted that she has been given the all clear and is getting stronger every day. Thank you to all who gave their support.”

This popular event raised more than £600 and was held in the Ivy Suite, a purpose built function room at Mortons head office in Northfield.
