THE organisation running community and mental healthcare services in Worcestershire has been named among the best NHS employers in the country.

Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust was named in a list of the 120 top NHS workplaces in a Health Service Journal study based on results from an anonymous survey.

The trust’s chief executive Sarah Dugan said she was “really pleased” by the result.

“We work really hard to support our staff so they have the tools to do the best they can for our patients and service users and we are very proud that this has been recognised in this way,” she said.

“We will continue to support our staff and recognise their efforts in what can often be testing and pressured environments and we also want to attract and maintain a talented workforce which will continue to drive up the already high standards we’ve set.”

The survey was carried out across all acute, community, mental health and primary care NHS providers, asking staff if they would recommend the organisation as a place to work for and receive treatment.
