BROMSGROVE's largest provider of affordable housing is hosting two family fun days next month.

Bromsgrove District Housing Trust, BDHT, is holding the first event on the King George Close playing fields in Sidemoor on Wednesday, August 5, from noon to 3.30pm.

The second is being held on Wednesday, August 26, at Lyttleton Avenue park in Charford at the same times.

Everyone is invited to come along and enjoy the fun, which includes a bouncy castle and slide, nail painting, a treasure hunt, storytime with the libraries, NHS health checks and a games corner.

For a small fee visitors can also take part in pony rides and hook-a-duck, a tombola, card making, have colour hair spraying, try to beat the goalie, guess the name of the teddy, decorate a biscuit or cake, glitter tattoos, and a raffle.

The Lyttleton Avenue park event also features a boxercise class.

Ashlea Green, sheltered living services manager for BDHT, said: “We are so excited to bring back our family fun days this year, after a brilliant turnout last year.

"We’ve been overwhelmed by the support we’ve had from local organisations including the Blue Cross, Bromsgrove Library, the fire service and the NHS.

"It’s a wonderful opportunity to have a great day out and raise money for a brilliant cause.”
