THE Libby Maes Little Angels charity is organising a Wear it Pink for Libby Day to celebrate what would have been the little girl’s second birthday.

Libby Mae Sharratt was born in April 2013 at Birmingham Women’s Hospital but immediately experienced difficulty with her breathing and sadly passed away when she was only two weeks old.

Following her death, her parents, Catshill couple Charlotte and Richard, asked for donations to the hospital in place of flowers and they were overwhelmed by the response, eventually launching the charity, which raised more than £50,000 in its first year.

The Wear it Pink Day is taking place on Friday, April 24, which would have been Libby Mae’s second birthday, along with a charity night at the Rousler Bar at Bromsgrove Sporting, which will include a raffle, auctions, and fun and games.

To join in with the wear it pink day, people are being asked for a £1 donation, while tickets for the charity night, which starts at 7pm, are £5 per adult, or £3 for under 16s.

To book tickets for the charity night call 07415 923555 or 07584 019334, or to donate to wear it pink, visit mydonate.bt.com/events/wearitpink2015/213201.
