TWO students from the Heart of Worcestershire College are celebrating after being nominated for the Student Production Higher Education Award as part of this year’s Learning on Screen Awards.
Sean Byrne and Daniel Pitts, both currently studying for a foundation degree in interactive media and games development, combined their individual films from a college assignment to form their nominated production Subside/Inertia.
The production takes on the form of a game trailer based on an alien apocalypse.
Speaking about their nomination success Sean said: “It’s really great to be nominated especially as we’re up against entries from the rest of the UK, including film studies students and we don’t specialise in film so it’s really good to be nominated alongside them.”
