THE family of a Rubery woman who died in a road collision have paid an emotional tribute to her.
Marguerite Scarle, 81, from Rubery, died after the collision on the A491 in Bell End, near the Bell Public House, at about 7pm on Saturday, (August 23).
In a statement Mrs Scarle’s family said she was a much loved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
"Marguerite was travelling with her husband and daughter when their car was involved in a collision with two other cars.
“Marguerite and her husband celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary in June.
"They were on their way home from a theatre trip to Malvern and a visit to Hereford when the collision happened.
“The driver and passengers of the car were taken to Russells Hall Hospital where they were treated for their injuries. Marguerite was pronounced dead following a period of CPR.
“Marguerite will be very sadly missed by all of her family.
“The family request that they be given time and privacy to come to terms with their loss.”
Police continue to appeal for witnesses following the collision.
Witnesses are being asked to call police on 101, quoting incident number 0615s of Saturday, August 23.
