A PARTNERSHIP with Bromsgrove schools has helped a company win an award for the most responsible business in the West Midlands.

Business in the Community hosted the awards ceremony that was held at Edgbaston Cricket Ground.

BAM won the award which was contested by dozens of the region’s best businesses.

BAM’s community work is headed by Bromsgrove resident Phil Eves who organises for hundreds of BAM volunteers to work on gardens for the RHS Spring Festival in Malvern.

Now in their eighth year, the award-winning gardens are designed by local schools and linked to their curriculum.

BAM volunteers help turn the children's designs into reality.

Phil said: “I would like to thank everyone who volunteered their time to help the local community.

“We have supported this project for seven years, and our eighth year sees us hosting 20 schools and colleges that BAM is linked with in one way or another."
