BROMSGROVE’s annual street theatre will be returning at the end of this month.

The event will begin on Wednesday, July 30 in the town’s recreation ground with George Orange – the Man on the Moon performing.

Various activities will be put on including face painting, community stalls, circus workshops, competitions and theatrical shows.

George Orange will also be at the second street theatre event, held in Wythall Park the following day, July 31.

The performances continue in Catshill Meadow on Monday, August 4, Wednesday, August 6 back at the Recreation Ground, Thursday, August 7 in Hagley Park and finally on Friday, August 8 in Rubery Park.

Bromsgrove District Councillor Michael Webb, whose portfolio covers Leisure, said: “There’s no excuse for our young residents to be bored over the summer holidays with all this free fun going on.

“I have heard that the parents are also highly entertained by the acts at our famous street theatre.”

All events run from 11am till 3pm.
