CUSTOMERS visiting an opticians in Droitwich may have a fright when ghostly ghouls and wicked witches take over the store to host a Halloween-themed fundraiser.

The team at Specsavers, St Andrews Square, will be swapping their uniforms for more scary attire in a bid to raise money for Droitwich Spa High School on Saturday, October 27 and Sunday, October 28.

Over the weekend, the store will be selling a spook-tacular selection of pumpkins, which have all been carved by members of staff. All money raised from the sale of the pumpkins will be donated to the school.

Emma Singh, store director at Specavers said: “Halloween is a great opportunity to raise money for such a worthy cause. We’re looking forward to carving the pumpkins, although it could be slightly messy. But we’re expecting them to prove popular on the day and help to raise as much money as possible.”
