TWO Droitwich dads ran the equivalent of five marathons in five days to raise funds for their sons’ school.

Steve Colley and Stephen McAlinden, whose children William Colley and Gabriel McAlinden, both age six, go to St Peter’s First School, took on the gruelling challenge on Monday, October 8.

The pair ran from St Paul’s Cathedral in London to the Spa school by Friday, October 12 to raise cash to help refurbish the school’s ICT suite.

Their route took them through Banbury and Stratford before they arrived at the school in St Peter’s Church Lane cheered on by family and friends.

The determined dads smashed their target by raising £2,325 towards the cause.

Tracey O’Keeffe Pullen, headteacher at St Peter’s, said: “We are so grateful to the runners for their courage and determination in completing this challenge to raise funds for the school.”
