POLICE have started a search for a missing Droitwich woman.

They are appealing for the public's help as they attempt to trace Angela Lambert, aged 51, who lives on Captain's Lane between Oddingley and Hadzor.

Police have said they are very concerned for her welfare after she went missing from her home some time yesterday and was reported missing at 10.30pm last night when a family member was unable to contact her.

She seems to have left her home without any personal possessions, without locking up behind her and has not taken her car.

Inspector John McKay, who is leading the search, said: "We are very concerned about Mrs Lambert's state of mind and we need to find her as soon as possible.

"She has been out all night on foot and the weather has deteriorated, so we are also worried about her physical wellbeing. If anyone has seen her or has any information about her whereabouts, please get in touch as soon as possible."

Any information concerning Angela Lambert can be passed onto officers via the non-emergency police number 101 or information can be passed on anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
