BUDDING Mo Farahs and hopeful Chris Hoys have seen how to get involved in sport in Droitwich Spa.

The town held the 2012 Legacy Day on Saturday, September 22 to help inspire youngsters to follow in the footsteps of their Olympic heroes.

Sports clubs and societies held demonstrations from noon to 4pm at Droitwich Spa High School and Droitwich Leisure Centre, Briar Mill.

The day highlighted sports, fitness and leisure activities on offer in and around the town. It also featured live music, refreshments, fete activities, stalls and an Olympic torch.

More than 15 clubs signed up to provide free 'have a go' sessions in sports including martial arts, golf, rugby, boxing, gymnastics, climbing, swimming and even scuba diving or snorkelling.
