ORGANISERS are now putting the final preparations in place for the annual Wychavon Festival of Brass competition.

This year’s event will take place in Droitwich Spa and see more than three dozen bands compete.

A full day of competition will be held across the town on Sunday, September 16.

Some of the UK’s top bands will go head-to-head at both the Norbury Theatre, Friar Street, and Droitwich Spa High School, Briar Mill, throughout the day.

The contest starts at 10am and will finish about 10 hours later. All day tickets, costing £10 for adults and £5 for under 16s, can be used at both venues are available on the doors or in advance from festival secretary Clive Allen on 01386 870 003.
