HAVE you ever wanted to talk to someone who is deaf? Do you just want to be able to welcome them and show that you are prepared to make an effort to communicate? Or do you just have a fascination with Sign Language?

Deaf Direct will be holding Level 1 British Sign Language courses in Worcester, Hereford and Oxford for people who want to learn how to communicate at a very basic level with deaf people.

Starting this month, the fully accredited evening classes will offer the opportunity to learn basic communication in British Sign Language about familiar, day-to-day topics and activities including greetings, family, food and drink, and work and leisure.

Courses are taught by deaf tutors to give first-hand experience of learning the language.

If you have completed Level 1, or already have a good standard of signing, Deaf Direct offers Levels 2, 3 and 6 certificates in British Sign Language.
