DROITWICH Athletics Club has organised a race along the town’s towpaths as part of this year’s Salt Day festival.

The event, which will raise funds for the Murray’s Muscles charity, will take place on Sunday, September 16 and will be held along with a family walk.

The run will start at 10.30am in Vines Park before finishing at the same location. Runners will get bangers and mash after completing the nine mile challenge and a post-race massage.

Entry costs £14 in advance and £15 on the day.

The family walk will start at 1pm and go from Vines Park to the Gardeners Arms pub. Entry costs £8 for adults and £5 for juniors and includes cream tea at the pub.
