DROITWICH Spa and District Horticultural Society will hold its 64th annual flower show on Monday, August 27.

The Bank Holiday event will be held at Droitwich Sports and Leisure Centre, Briar Mill, at 1pm.

There will be displays of flowers, fruit, vegetables, cakes and preserves, handicrafts, floral art, photographs and children‘s classes.

Away from the main hall, attractions include a puppet theatre, fairground organ, face-painting, animal roadshow and varied stalls. Refreshments will also be on hand.

Town mayor, Councillor Anne Taft, will help to present the trophies later in the afternoon.

Following the prize giving ceremony there will be an auction of produce where a bargain or two may be found.

Admission to the show is £1.50 for adults, 50p for children aged five to 15 years, and free for those under five.
