RESIDENTS at a Spa care home limbered up to welcome people to a mini Olympics events.
Westmead Care Home, Westmead Close, Droitwich, held a sport-themed garden party on Wednesday, August 8.
Events including an egg and spoon race, bean bag throwing, boules and a replay were enjoyed by visitors between 11am and 3pm.
The home has decorated with bunting and flags to make sure everybody felt patriotic.
Olympic torchbearer Jack Griffiths, 11, also attended the party. He was diagnosed with type one diabetes at the age of three and has raised money for Diabetes UK and for JDRF – a charity that is trying to find a cure for juvenile diabetes.
Jack has raised around £4,000 for charity by holding bake sales, raffles and selling his toys in car boot sales.
