WINNERS of competitions launched at an emergency services open day in Worcestershire have received their prizes.

In a colouring competition, Anna Helder, Hollie Patrick and Jack Bradley won for the 0 to five years category; James Hargest and Lily Dudman won the five to seven years category and Tobi Penter, Luke Blundell and Ellie Moore won the seven to nine years category.

Michael Anstey and Becky Smith won a family fun day quiz and Kieran Coppin won the Kindle competition.

The winners were presented with their certificates and prizes by Inspector Jane Francis at a ceremony in Priory Lodge Hall, Avenue Road, Malvern.

The open day was held when Malvern’s police station welcomed people to find out more about the work of local emergency services and partner agencies.

Visitors met police officers, saw the latest fingerprint technology, met police dogs and their handlers and found out about drugs awareness, crime prevention and special constables.

Inspector Francis said: “It was a pleasure to meet all the winners and present them with their prizes. “Everyone received a certificate and at the ceremony, the children told me how much they enjoyed seeing the horse from Avon and Somerset Police, as well as having their fingerprints taken and sitting on the motorbike which delivers blood between hospitals. “The open day was a fantastic event and it was great to see so many people.”
