People invited to party in Lido Park

ONE of the most popular community events of the summer is again set to return to Droitwich Spa.

Wychavon District Council’s Party in the Park event will provide entertainment for all the family from noon to 4pm on Tuesday, August 21.

The annual attraction, now in its ninth year, will be showcasing the best of town community groups, talent from W Factor performers and the Youth Music Project in Lido Park, off Worcester Road.

Also on offer will be face painting and nail art, Henna tattooing, drumming workshops, arts workshops, circus skills, sports taster sessions and graffiti design.

The Droitwich Spa event will be followed by similar attractions in Pershore and Evesham.

Tracy Grubb, community development officer at Wychavon District Council, said: “We’re really hoping we can get the weather to make these events even more enjoyable, but even if it does rain, there’s still plenty of fun to be had at all of these events.”
