DROITWICH residents will be getting festive in the summer at a fund-raising event this weekend.
The event has been organised in memory of Spa resident Michelle Hennessey Thompson, who lost a brave battle against cancer last September.
During her life she raised thousands of pounds for cancer charities, and her family are now aiming to raise even more in her name.
The first event of many planned events is Christmas in July, which was a fund-raiser Michelle always wanted to do.
It is being held at The Gardeners Arms, in Vines Lane, this Saturday, July 28, between 3-8pm.
The event includes a tombola, raffle, face painting, a cake stall, and a visit from Father Christmas.
