IT is quite unusual for National Gardens Scheme (NGS) gardens to open mid week – most open only at weekends – but garden owners Sue and John Fletcher from Showell Road, Droitwich, have realised that for some, mid-week is best.
So they are once again opening their garden at no 30, called ‘Hiraeth’, on Wednesday, August 8 from noon until 5pm.
Hiraeth has been described as ‘A haven on the way to heaven’.
It is a traditional cottage garden with some unusual plants, herbaceous borders, hostas, ferns, arches, a pool and waterfall, together with a 200 year old style, and some wood and metal sculptures. It is a true oasis of colours in a garden not to be missed.
Admission is £3 for adults, with children admitted free, and there will be plants and refreshments for sale.
