STORY loving children at a Spa pre-school held a dress-up day to celebrate getting book goodie bags.
Pupils at St Peter's Pre-School, Church Lane, dressed up on Tuesday, July 3 after receiving Bookstart treasure bags of stories.
Pre-school manager Trudi Harris said: "All of the children who are leaving us to go to school in September are very lucky to be receiving a special treasure bag of stories donated by Bookstart and the Booktrust. The children have been very excited about getting their new books and we have had great fun sharing some of the stories before they go home.
“The aim of the Bookstart initiative is to instill a love of stories at an early age and we hope it will encourage parents to share stories at home in the same way that we do here."
