A school’s forest school shed has been broken into for the second time.

Thieves stole equipment and a garden trolley used by Burlish Park Primary School, Stourport, to move materials to and from their forest school.

Police are studying CCTV footage of the theft, believed to have happened around 4am on Thursday, June 27, from a shed at the back of the main school building.

A group of males wearing hooded tops were reported to have been seen nearby.

Lynda Williams, forest school leader, said: “I can’t believe that people can be so mean as to steal from young children.

“Pupils were very upset when our forest school session was cancelled due to the break-in.

“Eco-council pupils and parents have only recently raised enough money to replace the trolley that was stolen in the last burglary.

“No other tools are kept in our shed so I feel that the thieves knew what they were looking for.

“The replacement trolleys will now have to be kept inside the school which will cause a lot of extra work for our volunteers and staff but we have no other option.

“School budgets are very tight and there is no money to keep replacing stolen items.”

Anyone who saw any unusual activity along Windermere Way or the Kingsway or who knows the whereabouts of the trolley is asked to call police on 0300 333 3000 with reference 81S270612 or contact Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.

Any readers who may have an unwanted garden trolley they would like to donate please contact the school on 01299 823771.
