A MAN arrested on suspicion of attempted murder remains in police custody pending hospital treatment.

The 58-year-old man from Nottingham was arrested on Sunday night after a man and woman were seriously injured in an incident in Ledbury.

Police attended a the domestic incident near Homend Garage at about 6.30pm that evening.

The man and woman suffered a number of stab wounds and were taken to Birmingham hospital for emergency treatment.

They remain in hospital and are both recovering and are due to be discharged in the next couple of days.

A West Mercia Police spokesman said: “The man remains under arrest but under observation at the hospital and will be spoken to by officers once he has been discharged.”

Police are not looking for anyone else in relation to the incident, but witnesses can call the non-emergency number 101.
