A TEAM of young adults from Droitwich’s Prince’s Trust Team Programme have been putting their skills to good use at a local mini farm.

The group of 13, who are all completing a 12-week programme with Worcester Technology College aiming to get them back into work, education or training, are known as team 162.

As part of the programme, the students decided to complete a community project at Gloverspiece mini farm, care farm and educational centre and have been busy creating improvements, resourcing the equipment they need to complete the project, landscaping and learning who will be using the sanctuary.

Nikki Hunt, of Gloverspiece mini farm, said: “It has been a real pleasure having the Prince’s Trust Team 162 here at the farm with us.

“Because we are a charity and rely upon volunteers, completion of the work would have taken us a number of months.

“However, Team 162 has completed it successfully within a couple of weeks.

“It is really great to see a group of young adults so eager to help with projects within the local community.”
