A POPULAR outdoor centre between Bromsgrove and Droitwich Spa has opened a new cafe facility.

A tea room with views across an 18 acre lake from its balcony seating area has opened at Upton Warren Outdoor Education Centre. The site, which is well known for teaching water activities to school children in the region, has opened up the new attraction for visitors to enjoy.

Head of the centre, Phil Ascough, said: “This is an ideal space for parents and grandparents to come and watch students taking part in activities as well as potential participants and members of the general public keen to find out more about what is on offer. Many people wrongly assume that the centre is just open to school groups and we hope the tea room will help dispel this myth.” The tea room will be open daily from 10am - 4pm.
