A VOLUNTEER from Droitwich has been recognised for her dedication to the National Childbirth Trust (NCT).
People across the West Midlands have been rewarded for their work with families and named as regional winners in the NCT Stars Awards.
The annual awards are presented by the UK’s largest charity for parents to recognise and celebrate the efforts of its volunteers who give their time and skills to supporting mums and dads in their communities.
Emma Raine, from NCT Worcester & Droitwich Branch, was named at the user rep of the year.
She represents the NCT as a member of an infant feeding and nutrition group and is also the current chair of the maternity services liaison committee at Worcestershire Royal Hospital.
She has supported the children’s centres in Worcestershire as a peer supporter at Worcester’s Buttercup Children’s Centre breastfeeding group for several years, and has just joined the WANDS Children’s Centre baby time group in Droitwich, giving weekly support as a branch volunteer.
