PICTURED are one very happy couple who got the wedding of their dreams despite a last-minute change of reception venue.

Phil and Sian Rowley (nee Purser), of Prestbury Close in Worcester, were married at Claines Church on Saturday, June 2, as planned and enjoyed a reception at Temple Laugherne House.

They had been booked into a reception at the Bank House Hotel in Bransford, near Worcester, but the hotel is currently in liquidation and there were doubts as to whether it would still be trading on their wedding day.

Mr and Mrs Rowley had no guarantees the hotel could deliver the happiest day of their lives and so with the help of the Worcester News and Temple Laugherne House they managed to find an alternative venue just days before the wedding.

Speaking before the wedding, Mrs Rowley said after finding their new venue: “I am just so relieved. It’s a weight off our shoulders.”

The Bank House is still trading, and a takeover is imminent, say liquidators.
