HUNDREDS of people packed into Worcester’s Guildhall and raised a celebratory flagon as they took part in a Worcester tradition dating back 350 years.
The venue was adorned with symbolic oak leaves for Oak Apple Day – marking King Charles II’s restoration of the monarchy.
The annual celebration, on Tuesday, May 29, was organised by local group Discover History, which brought together attractions and societies associated with the years between the escape of King Charles from the Battle of Worcester in 1651 and the final Restoration of the King in 1660.
