A FATHER-of-two who is confined to a wheelchair risks being sent to prison for downloading child pornography.

Christopher Wright, aged 35, of Farmer's Piece, Droitwich, pleaded guilty to nine counts of making indecent images of children between May 2008 and June 2010.

He also admitted at Worcester Crown Court possession of prohibited cartoon images and possession of extreme pornography.

Wright further pleaded guilty to encouraging another pervert known as "lapdog" to send him child porn via the internet in August 2009.

Judge Robert Juckes QC said the custody threshold "had plainly been crossed" but all sentencing options were still open.

He adjourned the case until the week commencing May 28 and allowed Wright bail on condition he has no contact with anyone under the age of 18 except his own children.

Wright was also ordered to sign the sex offenders' register before leaving court.

Judith Kenny, defending, said she was instructing an expert in forensic sexual behaviour to compile a report on Wright.

The defendant denied a charge of distributing indecent photographs of children, which was accepted by prosecutor Stephen Davies. The charge will lie on the prosecution file.
