A WELL-KNOWN town butcher is hanging up his apron after 50 years.
Sixty-five-year-old Andrew Duggan will hand over the running of Queen Street Butchers to his two sons, Andrew junior and Mark.
Mr Duggan senior started working at the shop aged just 18. He went on to serve the community at the same shop in Queen Street, Droitwich, for half a century.
Son Andrew Duggan said: “I will now be running the shop with the help of my brother Mark. Dad will still come in a couple of days a week to help out though.
“We have revamped the store and started offering sandwiches and curry sauce and our prize-winning pies are very popular. Business has really picked up now and so hopefully the business has a bright future and I can continue the family tradition.”
