TALES of rescued hedgehogs and how people can help will be passed on to customers at Webbs Garden Centre in Wychbold on June 5.
Charlie Walker and Jayne Lawrence, who run Willows Hedgehog Rescue in Bromsgrove, will be on hand to talk about their latest work with hedgehogs including ones that have been recently rescued and released.
They may also have some baby hedgehogs if any have been recently rescued. The self-funded hedgehog rescue service is dedicated to helping to care for orphaned, distressed and injured hedgehogs.
Jayne Lawrence, from Willows Hedgehog Rescue, said: “Going to Webbs will give us a great opportunity to spread the word on how to help reduce the chance that hedgehogs will get into trouble and need rescuing. It will also allow us to inform people on what to do if you find an injured or ill animal. They are wonderful, iconic little creatures and we want to make the world a better place for them.”
Webbs executive chairman Ed Webb said: “We encourage gardeners to look after and help increase the wildlife in their local communities and I’m sure there will be lots of interest in the hedgehog rescue team and their advice.”
The pair will be at Webbs from 11am – 4pm.
