SO the anti-field sports brigade has reared its ugly head again. I refer to page 2 of the Evening News on Monday, October 30.
I notice with growing frustration that the subject is once again hunting with dogs. I see nothing is ever mentioned about fishing, I suppose the reason being that Mike Foster is a keen fisherman.
In fact, I would go as far as to say that he is a professional, seeing as how he is a match fisherman.
I wonder if Anita Knittel thinks it's all right to put a struggling maggot or worm on a hook. What does the rest of the anti-blood sports brigade think about this barbarity?
I fail to see how a worm, maggot, rabbit, fox or the like is any different from any other animal that lives and breathes.
I am not anti-fishing. My grandson's a keen fisherman - but I'm just trying to make the point that one sport involving an animal is no different to one involving a fish.
